About

I am a mom, a wife, a grandma, an author, a teacher, and a child of God. As a fifth-generation central Florida native, I have always had my bare feet in the sand and my nose in a book.

I earned my MA in English Literature from the University of Central Florida and then married a Lutheran
pastor, who promptly moved me up to the frozen north of Wisconsin. Brr.

We later moved to California, where we raised two children, two foster children, and all their various
pets. After all our kids grew up and left home, my husband and I moved back to my hometown in
Florida. Now, I happily dig in my toes at various beautiful places in Florida.

Over the years, I have written everything from devotions to technical manuals, I have edited everything
from fiction to doctoral dissertations, and I have taught students in environments as varied as preschool
and prison.

My first book, Sweet the Moments: Reflections for Women on Everyday Things, was published in 2002
and is still available from Northwestern Publishing House. A second book, The Full Accessories of God is
brand new and is also available at NPH.
